Solano County Library Accommodation Card Design Contest – The Vacaville Reporter

Creatives will have the opportunity to leave a lasting imprint on Solano County’s library system this month – something they see every time they check out or return books.

That’s right: an opportunity to design new library cards.

As the Solano County Library undergoes what authorities are calling “a brand refresh,” which includes a new logo, among other things, it is running a competition to create a new design for its library cards: those magical devices that can allow library members to check all books, DVDs, tapes and other materials free of charge. Drawings can be created in a variety of media including photography, paintings, photos and more.

The Solano County Library is asking all applicants to create a design that matches the library’s new message titled “Go Anywhere From Here”. The full statement reads: “At the Solano County Library, we provide everyone with access to a world of knowledge and opportunity. All in a warm and welcoming environment that promotes growth and discovery.

The contest is open to all Solano County Library cardholders and can be submitted digitally or physically at any branch. Digital works must be at least 300 dots per inch and in one of the following formats: .jpeg, .png, .ai, .eps, .psd, and .pdf.

Physical entries must be submitted on the template located on the back of the event flyer, which can be downloaded from Flyer- min.pdf. Digital entries can be submitted by email to [email protected]
