ROCHELLE – ALDI welcomed shoppers to its renovated store in Rochelle when it reopened on Thursday 6 October. The store at 1251 N. Seventh St. is part of an ongoing initiative to remodel and expand existing ALDI stores. ALDI is on track to open 150 new stores and become the third-largest U.S. food retailer by number of stores by the end of this year, according to a press release. The La Rochelle store will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The first 100 customers received a gift bag filled with a sample of ALDI fan-favorite products and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card distribution program. Shoppers also had the chance to enter a raffle for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.
The updated store features an improved layout and ample refrigeration to accommodate an expanded selection of fresh, convenient foods. It also has open ceilings and natural lighting, and it is built with eco-friendly materials.
“Like all ALDI stores, the revamped Rochelle site still offers a streamlined shopping experience and low prices in every aisle, but customers will notice the elevated design,” the press release reads.
“We have invested in renovating our stores to ensure they are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Laura Branneman, Batavia Regional Vice President for ALDI. “With the updated Rochelle store, shoppers will notice a new look with fresher, more practical items at low, reliable prices that ALDI fans rave about.”
