As Major League Baseball’s regular season winds down, it’s time for the playoffs. Of the 30 teams, many are eliminated. Leaving just 12 to continue playing in October.

The teams that qualified for October this year are the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Rays, Tampa Bay, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros, Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees. This year, MLB changed the playoffs. This year’s playoffs feature a new format, expanding the pool of teams from 10 to 12 and replacing the two single-elimination Wild Card games with four best-of-three Wild Card series, followed by the best-of-five division series. . . They decided to expand the playoffs in order to televise more games nationally, allowing the major league to make more money in television revenue.

The favorite teams to win the 2022 World Series are the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros in their respective leagues. The reason they have the best chance of winning the World Series is because they have the best records in MLB, which shows they’ve been a force in the league. The Dodgers have the best record in baseball at 111-51 (111 wins, 51 losses) and the Astros at 106-56 (106 wins, 56 losses).
